Key fob stopped working

L322 2003. seems my key fob suddenly stopped unlocking my doors. I replaced the battery, but didn't olve my problem.
The fob light comes on when I press the buttons on the fob. it will unlock the door using the key and will start the vehicle. I did a google on how to sych the key but no luck.
One method said unlock car have doors closed and insert key to ignition turn to pos 1 then back to 0, remove key , press unlock and hold and press lock button 3 times within a certain time no luck, another instruction said same but have vehicle locked when doing the procedure. ,no luck either.

Any ideas?I have another fob that works which I am now using.

When you synch the second key you must not put it in the ignition as that starts the cycle over again. Apologies if you were aware. Confused John
