Locking Wheel Nut Socket

Went to get some new tyres put on the New Car and to my horror found that there was no locking Wheel nut socket in the Car.
So after doing some reading on here, went to my local dealer in Leicester and the guy at the Parts department was extremely helpful.
He came out to the Car with all 20 different keys and we tried each one until we found the one that fitted.

£13.80 later and i can now remove my wheels to get the Tyres changed and removed those pesky lockers and replace them with Standard Nuts.
Well pleased Cool Cool Cool

Respect for him.. there are only few folk who would actually do this so you habe been lucky. Did he make you buy the whole set? Assume that would be the case as £13.80 for a locking key is a bit steep. PS they are hopeless anyway. I am thinking of replacing mine too once I get my hands on the solid wheel nuts Current:
- L560 Velar HSE R-Dynamic D180
- Peugeot 508 2011 - 2.2 HDi GT

Past:
- FFRR V 2010 - 3.6 TDV8
- Citroen C4 1.6i Petrol
- Mitsubishi Shogun 3.2 DID
- Peugeot 607 2.2 HDi
- Nissan Primera 1.8 SVE
- Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC

Grange Swindon wanted 30mins labour to do the same which was around £85. I declined and managed to figure out which one I needed from photos. You have a very helpful dealer. Most modern dealerships don't have what I would recognise as a "parts counter" and it's a real shame... 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Ist thing I did on mine was get rid of the lock nuts, more of a nuisance when the key breaks and you cant get the wheel off . We don't have any theft of Range Rover wheels here.

I’d be surprised if there was theft of RR wheels anywhere - just a requirement that insurance companies applied universally.

Agree that locking nuts are a waste of time though - IMHO the average wheel thief would have an easier time with locking nuts than jacking up a FFRR
