Ive looked at and driven a 2011 Vogue TDV8.... It did drive well..... jeez this thing really went. Very comfortable, very quiet and one of the nicest cathedrals Ive been in
The 4.4 is a fair step up from an earlier 3.6.

It’s like anything else when you start looking..... my first caravan I set a budget of £500, £3500 later I owned one 😂

Well as I said when you start looking.....

Ive just done the deal today, 2012, 4.4 TDV8, one owner full main dealer history, 120,000 on the clock. I get it on Monday!

Enjoyed the test drive, never got to exceed 2000 rpm, what a machine.

Im sure I'll be back with loads of questions real soon.

J

Well done that man.

4.4 is a different animal to the 3.6, and the 8sp gearbox is great. I regularly tow my 2t caravan with mine and it’s effortless.

Nothing much to report in the way of failure either. Keep on top of the maintenance and you should be fine. Loads of info on here and most of the problems are self spannerable. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well it had a little hiccup today, overtaking 3 cars and the first time id given any real throttle. Ding 'Warbning restricted power' and it went as flat as dog. Only 2 miles from home so I continued home in limp mode. When I got home switched off, restarted and the warning was still there. Left it 10 minutes and then restarted all clear so I took it for a drive and absolutely nailed it, no more problems.
I haven't got a code reader yet but I do have a warranty! I have reported the fault to the supplying dealer so Ill see how it goes. I assume under the circumstances it's likely to be a turbo / actuator issue?
Im amazed at the economy compared to a 3.0 V6 Touareg, the Rangie is showing about 1/3 better!
Which version of the GAP tool is the best to get?
