Confused sat nav

Hi all,

Acquired a MK4 sat nav unit and fitted it last night. Like a Muppet, thought the gps aerial cable unscrewed (it doesn't you just pull it off). So I kept unscrewing and ended up with a very twisted cable, eventually felt like the innards of the cable gave.

Noticed this morning, the car thinks I'm 197 miles away from where I am. Presumably the address of the previous owner of the nav unit!

How do I confirm I've broken the gps cable? Is there a hidden menu showing the signal details? 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile

Just to answer my own question, found the relevant hidden menu. Go into settings, then hold the menu button down for 10 seconds. Select sensor check. Showed communication with 6 GPS satellites and a location lock. Exit that and all is well 👍 2004 Vogue TD6 - Remapped Smile
