L405 Headlight Bulb Replacement

All, can someone please advise on the process for changing the headlight bulb on a L405 TDV8? I do not have the time to take it to a dealer, so was hoping I can do it myself.
Many thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for that. The trouble with the engine bay on mine is that there seems to be no easy way of removing that cover as there are so many engine components pushed up against it. I am hoping it is not a bumper off/headlight out job.

Many thanks.

This may seem a lot of work but its the easiest way! Simply remove the air box (top and bottom) on which ever side you need to replace and VOILA Bow down You can gain access Thumbs Up

Yes the air filter box has to come out , its dead easy after undoing the pipework and then just lift up and at the same time to the centre of the car . Same on the V6 . I suppose its worth mentioning to take the headlight switch out of "Auto" to avoid the lights switching on !

Can anyone recommend a brighter bulb? And also what bulbs are they?DS2s?

Mine seem awful and I want to go as bright as possible as I am struggling to see anything on dipped beam, these lights are awful.

2014 L405 by the way with advance front lighting (aptly named Rolling Eyes )
