Tyres Again!

Good morning!

I'm new on here but been on the Disco 3 site for sometime.

The MOT is approaching and I'm looking at a new full set of tyres for my 08 L322 running on 255 55r 19. Currently on Pirelli Zero's. No use whatsoever in snow or light mud! But probably due to lack of tread depth!

I'm at the top of the Pennine Hills so need to account for the Beast from the East, some rough farm tracks and the usual B roads in the area with the occasional trip to Scotland thrown in.

I've seen Pirelli All Terrain Scorpian Plus and wondered if anyone had opinions on them?

I'm currently on Cooper AT/3 on my Disco that have performed well.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance. L322 Vogue

Ireland 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Have GG AT3 on my Fatty.
Superb tyres. Every bit as good as the standard Scorpions on the road. Way better off road and good in the snow too. Take rough roads and pot holes no bother.
Good in the wet and no noiser than Scorpions.
What else could you want !!!
For me they should be the standard tyre coz they allow a Fatty to do what it can.
Love em Thumbs Up 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

I don't want to put a damper on the GG AT3's, but I currently have them on mine (were on it when I bought it back in March) and I have to say they can be somewhat less than reassuring in the wet (epic in the dry though).

Now it might just be mine are old and knackered (5mm tread left) but looking to change them before the winter sets in (probably for either Scorpion Verde's or Latitude Sport 3's).

AT tyres not best in the snow......

That said, snow tyres not best on rough tracks.

I run cooper LTZ on my D4 in 255/55 19 and they have been fine,
Gone everywhere I’ve needed. However not mega on ice. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Goodyear MT/R were my favourites, however I've been happy with pretty much all AT's since ...... Land Rover Addict

Goodyear Duratrac on mine, they are the LR homologated AT tyre, but watch the lower speed ratings. Not as good as the (no longer available for RR) MT/Rs off road but much better on road, snow, wet, icy roads etc. and while a bit noisier than say Pirelli S Verde, perfectly acceptable. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Currently have Pirelli Scorpion Verde in 255/50/20 on the fattie. Seem to be pretty good so far, more of a road tyre than off road so not sure how they would handle tracks. That said they use standard road tyres on the LR experience vehicles, and they go everywhere, pretty sure they wouldn't if it was the case that they were changing tyres every week..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just an update - finally went for four Michelin CrossClimates - get them Saturday. Always fitted Pirelli Scorps in the past so will be interesting...
