New model.......

So seen a new shape FFRR and it's got 900miles and is reg'd Aug, would you be concerned over the miles?

Car was new 114k apparently, what would you think price would be now for that car? Would you expect it to be price less VAT at new at least?

Dealer seems decent enough but has offerred me a grand off the car for a cash sale......

It's a black 3.0 AB with SVO kit on the LR website at 95K.

Would be interested in your thoughts...... all smug in my new plug!

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

I bought my 17MY 4.4TDV8 AB at one year old with 24,000 miles which is twice what I would normally expect but the servicing had been done to reflect the mileage and the miles were generally motorway. I was happy to take on the miles as I do relatively low mileage and should be back to normalish within two or three years. I loved the 18MY when I saw a TDV8 AB in Byron blue and an Ivory interior. It had the matt finish walnut wood trim which to my mind was perfect for the colouring. Way too much for my pocket unfortunately. If you love it and can afford it, do it.

Seen the LR UK advert Cue.

Car is touching 3 months old so 900 miles seems little to nothing. You'll soon do more? Buying on condition of the car, you'll know on sight if it's been abused?

Some might say that a lowly 3.0 TDv6 has no right to wear a go faster SVO bodykit and will inevitably be embarrassed at "the lights", although those of us with the lowly 3.0 know it's a fine engine Wink

£1k off screen price does not seem much of an incentive.

Not normally one for 'bodykits' however that car looks fantastic from the colour, the wheels, every angle Thumbs Up

Thanks PLD, I know what you mean, however I can't seem to see any 5.0 at decent money, and I was justy going to consider something at 60-70 but I just seen it and thought since it was new shape spec, was there a deal to be had.

I'm going to give it some thought tonight. I will need to get my car sorted and sold, so might hold the car with some cash if they are willing to do it. Ideally I wanted to just tarde it to save hassle, but maybe a private sale here once it's all cleaned up might work. Or I have tyre kickers from Autotrader at my door, which tbh looking at everything local to me within 100miles there isn't anything as nice as my car, or with a towbar.

The new car has a towbar which pulled me a bit more towards it, ideally I'd like it in the 80's tho, just to help with the depreciation.....lol all smug in my new plug!

Price seems rich to me... the demo 18’s are just coming thru , I think your price idea of 80’s is not an unreasonable expectation- I tend to look at the 4.4L , assume the 3’S are no more... patience.... Thumbs Up Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

I was looking at it this way:

if it's 114k new, then the VAT alone was 22,800 so surely take that off and start from there.

I'm sure a trade in price would have been sore but hey, all the fun of the fair.

I'm also consider a 4.4 actually but a 2017 car, and maybe just doing the SVO thing myself if the car can come with 22" and towbar fitted.

I'll see what else comes along whilst I get my car ready for sale. all smug in my new plug!

Trade price Shocked

I'd expect an ex-demo @ 900 miles - but has someone really taken the hit on that one as a private sale ?

If that';s the case, then I'd be worried that it had been rejected by the first owner......

I'd ask the dealer - I don't think they'd lie about it if asked.....

Seems too soon for a finance reclaim - even if they didn't make the first payment

So I'd just ask them outright what the story is
