Laughing Thumbs Up Dixy Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Vague steering on a Defender is usually a worn steering box.

It was nearly new with 8000 on the clock.

You just have to have both as they are for totally different things.

Exactly - I couldn’t have put it better.

We have a 110 mainly used on shoot days or around the holding & bounced around off-road laden with a set of mud tyres. Frequently she has 10 muddy people and dogs in her - she is powerwashed out on a weekly basis - literally - a RR would simply be unable to do the same job. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

All the Defenders I have driven have been fine, if the steering is vague it’s either badly worn or the steering box tension screw needed adjusting to take the slack out - a simple 60 second job 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

A Trap

the compromise is a Classic Rangie, you can do everything in it that you want the Defender for and it is still so much more comfy.

I would not want to swap my classic for a Defender Puma, no way.

Surly the mistress is for getting dirty with too!! Shocked

Now you have mentioned the RRC it just confuses things more. The ride in my RRC is very nice but obviously never the same as any 322. That said, ride aside (and its not bad by any stretch), the teddy bear fabric seats are by far the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat in - far more comfortable that my LM and even more comfortable that my mates brand new 405! (yes really).

I sat in a Defner for the first time a few days ago. Why? because I am seriously considering dropping the LM for a 90. The lack of steering wheel drop-ability is a real issue - the driving position was alien with the wheel up in the air so I am hoping other models have the ability.

Just like my lads recent purchase of a '72 mini - its just something every bloke should own at some point - normally between the ages of 50 and 55! Laughing 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I still have my RRC softdash, in the shed, miss having her on the road, I'd love a defender but wouldn't have a defender over my RRC as I think they are just overpriced tractors to me

Defender has the same chassis thereabouts from the RRC, but he latter is rarer and valued less??????? Confused Regards

Dixy: "I do not understand the question"

They are chalk and cheese, but the question(?) was about pricing/value
(with the assumption that an FFRR is the premium 4x4 on the market)

A 2009 Defender is worth twice what a 2009 FFRR is

You have an FFRR but you have to trade up to a Defender

Joe,

I consider myself a very lucky man - 2 vehicles I have always wanted were a soft top Defender and a Range Rover - job done!!

Have driven a few and its not my cup of tea.

I have this solution

MUDDY CAR (at moment very muddy inside and out and full of tools)

CLEAN CAR.......

That is quite Muddy.......

Mine isn’t that muddy but isn’t far off! We’ve had so much rain on site the last couple of weeks and it’s not helped by the plant making extra mud. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
