Thoughts Vogue to RRS Autobiography? Would you?

Hi Guys

Just wanted to ask your thoughts on a decision. Currently I have a 2013 FFRR Vogue 4.4 V8SD and absolutely love it. Approved warranty coming to an end soon so am looking to change for another car as we all know RR are not the most reliable cars out there, so want to change into another car which will have an approved used warranty for two years for peace of mind. I’ve got my eyes on a approved used Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic.

Now here’s the question? My Vogue is a SE but doesn’t have pan roof or the 22s which is highly desirable and could be a problem to sell in the future. Never driver the RR sport but that will have a pan roof and 22s but same year and mileage.

Would you recommend swapping?
Has anyone driven the two and your thoughts?

Should I keep the Vogue or change into RR Sport that would be easier to sell due to it having a roof and 22s after two years when the warranty expires.

Thanks in advance for all your thoughts

You need to drive one - they feel surprisingly different considering the number of shared components.

I like them but my wife wouldn’t let me buy one and insisted on another FFRR

No - never, never ever - once you have had a proper RR there is no going back - have you driven a Sport - they are awful and common 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Agree. Stay with full fat, far superior. No matter the era, any full fat is a classic shape that will ultimately prove timeless like a classy watch. L494 is actually a bit ugly from the rear. If you want 22” wheels (why?!) and a pano roof (desirable, yes) then part with cash to upgrade to another L405, else stick with what you have. It will always be worth more than a same age RRS, AB or otherwise I reckon.

Absolutely. It’s not a bad car by any means, but you’ll lose that great driving position and view out, the big boot, the spacious interior and the split tailgate. To me, it feels like driving a cross between a proper FFRR and a ubiquitous dullard hatchback like a VW Golf! Shocked

sounds like you are embarking on some man maths here to convince yourself to change.

Ok the 22" are a good looking option to have, but you could upgrade your wheels on the current car to 22", there are always a few sets knocking around, Craig had a set for sale on the board a few days ago......

Pano roof, is marmite. personally I couldn't care less about having one. I have a normal sunroof on my 322 at the mo and always drive with blind shut.

Warranty, you can buy the extended warranty for about a grand from LR, or put £150 into a kitty every month and use that when it goes wrong, chances are you won't need it and after a couple of years you will have enough if even major components fail.

You are proposing swapping to a lower model, albeit AB, of the same vintage, with similar milage. that is not an upgrade IMHO. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
