Hi all
I’ve just fitted a new hitachi air compressor as my old one had stopped working and melted a couple of the air pipes. The new compressor and pips are fitted and the car raises as lowers as it should but the compressor runs continuously!(probably what f**ked my original compressor) I’ve left the RR fully raised and pulled out the fuse and it hasn’t dropped at all. I’ve also driven the car at standard height with the fuse out without issue. I’m thinking it could be a pressure sensor??? Any advice would be great. Ps I have searched and checked on wiki to no avail.
Car is a 2006 l322

if you open the exhaust valve sending a command does it open?
how is your system pressure?

When I lower the suspension the compressor does stop and vent but it will kick in again a few seconds after reaching the selected hight and just keeps running. I have no way of testing the system pressure
And there is no fault showing. The car has had suspension faults on and off over the 6 years I’ve owned it but I’ve always just turned it off and on again then it’s fine.

A tyre pressure manometer does the trick. Or any of the 4 decent diagnostic tools.

If it vents properly and keeps running, it is not the exhaust valve. You have a leak or a dodgy pressure sensor. You also want to check the gallery connections.
You are a bit far from here but I am sure there are plenty of folks close by where you can stop by for the electric side of diagnostics. Leaks are checked with soap and water
