Wiper relay location 3.6 TDV8 2010 MY

Suffering the wiper blocking problem (as described in other posts), which effectively ruined a holiday as we had to return home early.
Before AA arrived I identified possible fault to be the wiper relay. The AA appointed garage even arrived with a replacement relay but was unable to locate the location for it. Initially they thought under the main ECU cover, left hand side of bonnet. I then showed them some of the posts on here describing location behind battery - they looked and assured me it wasn't there , and only applied to pre 2010 MY cars.,?and that it must be built into wiper motor. Result..:: car relayed due to duff relay Rolling Eyes
My question is simple - is the relay built into the wiper motor as AA garage advised or is it located elsewhere??

Intermittant wiper relay is located behind the battery.

There is a bulkhead access cover visible when the battery is out. Remove that and the relay is behind. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the reply but that does not seem to the case with the 2010 MY

Here is the view of behind the battery in my 2010

Clearly its been changed for the 2010 model year onwards and the workshop manual I have only show 2007-2010
So I ask again does anyone know the location of the wiper relay on the 2010 onwards or can link me to a workshop manual for the 2010 MY onwards?

Picture of the two wiper relays on my 2010 TDV8 below. The two relays (std speed and fast speed) are outlined in red. The box is under the bonnet on the left as you look at it (right hand side from the driver’s seat).

Relays appear to be standard 40A automotive relays on the 2010. I have a feeling they were different on the 2002.

On my 2002 TD6, relay was indeed behind the battery. Not sure when they changed. The workshop manual for later cars is wrong and says the relay is behind the battery.

Have a look at the thread that you started!
BTW, for the 2 relays shown in the post above, the left is the fast/slow relay and the right is the on/off relay.
