I think you already know the answer to that question!

The only possible justification for succumbing to such daylight robbery would be to maintain a Full History for a car under Land Rover warranty, which I guess is not the case for a 2005 model.

If I were you I'd find myself a good local independent.

God knows how they justify that cost. £100 for parts (way too high anyway), and 3 hours at £100 per hour maybe? That means they've got two hours 45 minutes to twiddle their thumbs, or try to come up with other faults which you'll 'need' to get fixed, until they can boost the bill to around £1.500! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

£199 at my local independant ...or £299 for big one

dealers usually have silly labour rates to cover their overheads....£150 an hour at my local dealer vs £40 at indy ...on a 3-4 hour service, thats a lot of saving to be had cheers

I just checked with my dealer, they said £360 all in.

Seems like a hell of a lot, but then they said they give the car a thorough going over, so I guess it's possibly just a bit of a 'misnomer' should be referred to as an annual service with Oil Change, would sound better at least.

If it was just an oil change needed somebody put up a link a little while ago for a great outfit which do it for buttons while you wait! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

That'll be the free 50 point health check they give any owner then!
