Body coloured door mirrors?

Has anyone any opinions of the body coloured door mirror "covers" that seem to offer a cheaper alternative to having the actual covers painted?

I have my doubts that the covers will leave a rim or a gap that could look unsightly, so I'm more inclined to have the originals painted in the body colour.

No doubt there will be howls of derision at the thought of doing either, but I think the car would look better with them in the same colour as the rest of the car.

cheers

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

The factory covers fitted to my 2010MY only cover the top 2/3rds of the mirror, so if you want fully colour coded them you'll have to get them into a body shop. Stornoway Grey suits full body colouring as most of the grey plastic is almost an exact match for Stornoway!
