steering column Adjuster Help

Hi Guys,

My steering adjuster is still moving my steering wheel in and out, but has stopped going up and down.

I went and had a look this morning and could not see anything obvious, but there is a plug that is not attatched to anything. I had a good look and could not see where it would plug onto.

Ive taken a picture on my phone.

Any Ideas why it no longer goes up and down?? I wondered if it was the plug but as I say, I can see no where for it to go???

Heres another (not very good one) of the adjusters. They are both intact, nothing looks broken or jammed.

The switch has got power as it still goes in and out fine.

Any advice?? Reformed

There are dozens of apparently 'spare' plugs scattered throughout the Range Rover, so nothing to worry about.

What was the cure for your steering?

The cure for me, was to strip it all out, clean it all up and put it back together! PITA to do, but seems smoother. Just hope it stays that way, I am not in a hurry to strip it all down again!!! Reformed

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Adriatic Blue

Good news you got it fixed mate, mine broke a few months back.
New one costs in the region of £800. Thankfully had it done under warranty. FFRR TD6 HSE
