Loose mirrors

Right I won't go into how I ended up doing this but I had to rebuild my drivers side mirror yesterday. As the internals were all on show I thought about my slack mirrors moving under braking etc. After investigation underthe mirrors is a round cover. Once removed 4 torx screws can be seen. Mine were very loose and once tightened the mirrors are loverly and tight! A million inuendos about slack and tight I know. But a quick 5min job if you have the same problem.

Great stuff, Mine flop about and do my head in at times. Although, it does make the car seem faster than it is when you floor it and see the mirrors twitch back a tiny bit Laughing

Job for the weekend I think. 2006 Mercedes CLS
1991 Retro-style Mini
But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...

Mine were quite bad that a good gust of wind and they would flap round like dogs ears! Think it was a torx 15. 4 each side and job done!

Glad my wing mirror jousting has helped. Actually a very easy fix for a stupid problem landrover should have sorted a long time ago! Prob would be good to take the screws out and add some lock-tight but not sure i will be the guinipig for that one. lol
