had a 2litre petrol smax and that happened twice, no reasons for it ..started straight away afterwards ...i can only think it might have been trapped petrol vapour in the fuel system. ... - .- -.

How many different cars have I had where this happened for a variety of reasons Smile

In my minis ( I am going back a bit now) the fuel pump would pack up, and either be OK on a restart or required the whack with a rubber mallet to get going again.

In my MG Midget, it used to happen that the car cut out when I went round a corner, and then would start again immediately. Took me quite a while to track it down to the coil, which once replaced solved the issue.

Not had the problem in the FFRR, but will now I have said that Smile .
