External trim color

Hi Guys
Today i have taken the pax wing mirror off the car and i have started to strip it down and sand as i had corrosion under the powder coat that looked awful. I've got primer and i got a can of black satin. Would you say that all the exterior trims (doors and windows) wing mirror base's are satin or gloss black? I use autoglym bumper care stuff on the black so don't want them to look different or stupid.

Cheers. Will do. Not sure if its a common fault or I've just been unlucky, but both mirror bases look bloody awful.

All finished, well one side anyway. Peice of Censored job. Used the powerful uk video on YouTube on how to remove the mirror. Once off removed the finishing cover from under the mirror and masked off the mirror. Unfortunatly I couldn't fully separate the base from the mirror but it helped when masking and sanding. I used a screwdriver to get the corroded powder coat off then a Stanley knife to help get the powder coat off past where the corrosion ended. Once this was done I used some sandpaper to remove the corrosion from the aluminium to get it back to bright alloy. The sandpaper also helped to blend the powdercoat into the aluminium. Once this was done gave it 2 coats of primer allowing plenty of time to dry between coats. Then 3 coats of satin black. Leave to dry then refit. Easy peazy. While doing the mirror I resprayed the bonet vent as per joe90's post. Will upload a few photos later when I get time.
