2015 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Santorini Black
Tint / privacy to rear

Hi all,

I am trying to determine what level of tint I should apply to the windows behind the B post to be as near to factory spec as possible. I previously owned a 53 plate RR which had factory glass and it was very dark to the point you needed to put your nose to the glass to see in. I assumed this is the equivliant to aftermarket 'limo' tint. However having spoken to the company who is doing it for me (www.lustalux.co.uk - supplied to James Edwards @ Brock now Hunters amoung others) they advise that factory spec is lighter than this.

Has anything changed from 2003 to now ? What tint should I go for ?

Thanks

My car has a limo tint by the first owner and it's much darker than the factory pricacy glass that I had on my old 2003MY FFRR or my wifes current 2008MY D3.

Am am sure others will offer an opinion shortly but I would suggest a 20% tint will be closer to the factory privacy glass.

I am not a great fan of aftermarket tints but my choice would probably have been a 20% tint rather than limo tint (which I think is 5%) but I am slowly getting used to it but it is VERY DARK in the back Shocked

I don't think the factory tints have been consistent. I've seen factory PG that's very dark and some that's see through.

I prefer limo tint in the back for security purposes but 20%would be a good one to go for Discovery 4 HSE
