Since upgrading my alloys to 19" and getting increased vibration at idle, I now put it into neutral when stationary, it stops ALL the vibrations. I find that just weird. It doesn't make sense. Shocked

Torsional Vibration (worse in TD6) is greatly damped by tyres with greater tyre wall, 18" being the best option but 19" being OK... Thumbs Up

PS: The Crankshaft does have a Torsional Vibration Damper which can wear out but even when working properly there will still be an annoying level of vibration at standstill on lowish profile tyres.

Choosing Neutral at lights is a good plan.

Must admit, I'm on 20's and had noticed this very slight vibration at stand still, but didn't know what it was - but it is improved when popping into 'N' at the lights.

Great place this, you learn lots .. Bow down
