Engine/turbo whistle?

I am not really familiar with the TD6 engine, my last car was an old Discovery. I am aware that various turbo engines make whistling sounds sometimes. I noticed that my car makes a short whistle sound when I lift off the throttle. It isn't very loud and cannot really be heard with the windows closed. It s a very brief whistle almost like a bird chirp. My guess it is the turbo running down but like I said I am not really sure. I have completed about 3000 miles and the noise isn't any worse. The car has 90,000 miles. Is this normal? Td6 SE

Thanks for that. I didn't want to appear stupid, but I thought I should just check. Smile Td6 SE
