IID

Had a good play with the IID device today. I must say I'm pretty impressed. Very easy to use, and with the tiny size, something you can always have handy. I'm sure it'll pay for itself pretty quickly in eliminating the need to go to mechanics to get faults read.

It gives a lot of peace of mind as well, knowing that you'll be able to find out what's wrong quickly, and reset simple faults when necessary.

Great product all round! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Thanks for the compliment!

Just out of curiosity: did you have any faults logged? (there usually are a couple...)

Yes, 25 I think!

Most when I went it, it said no fault code recorded or something.

There were a couple of faults relation to Catalytic convertor efficient, I think the numbers were 0420 and 0430. I cleared them and they came on again today.

EML came on as well. I'm still wondering if I might just need a new battery, just due to the number of faults.

For example yesterday I got a fault warning come up for the self levelling headlights, turned car off again and back on and it was fine. I had restricted performance faults and gearbox fault on the motorway a couple of days ago.

Battery is 5 years old, and showing 'black' in the health indicator, so I guess it needs replacing anyway, but if I wait till it fails to start the car then the AA will pay for my new one! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
