Nothing in the owners manual that I can see.
It does seem a bit bonkers that you need power to get to the batteries.

Not sure on the tailgate, but you should be able to use the ski hatch behind the rear arm rest to get access to the boot area if that helps..... |

With those figures, I'd agree.
I'd think of the filter as more milage/usage based & not related to dilution issues requiring an earlier oil change.
