Thing is: Landrover doesn't specify ACEA C1 oil, or C2 or C3 for that matter.
They spec Ford WSS-M2C934-B oil, for the 4.4 TDV8 that is.

The only way to remove ash from your DPF is to cut it off the exhaust and backflush it in a machine.

If it's a diesel with dpf I would recommend getting the dpf cleaned, like, removed from the car and properly cleaned.
