Yep, the seal that goes right round the boot. Sit inside with the boot closed and have someone pour water/hose it and you will quickly know if there's a leak.

It's not normal but could also be moisture that's from your initial leak. Did you manage to completely dry it out? Test the boot seal too, they're known for going.

Sounds like the fuel pump at the tank that's away. I had similar on a Freelander years ago. Everything was fine until I was under 1/4 of a tank.

Right, that's it sorted...

Cut out either side of the hole, pushfit straight through adaptor to fix.

Yeah

But it's not as much as you think, it's a hollow cone. So you're drilling a hole at the top until it's right through to allow it to breathe.

I used a 4 or 5mm drill bit if I remember correctly, just enough to allow it to breathe.

Drill from the top right through the middle until there's a clear hole all the way throug ...
