Not at all, many thanks for responding!

Understood - I've so far been reluctant to pry given the apparently fairly delicate valve covers, but might have to put some protection on them and have a go ...

David - I'm pulling one of the banks apart on my 5.0 S/C at the moment as I seem to have a faulty injector that's flooding no 4 cylinder - is there a trick to getting the fuel rail off, or just lots o ...

On my 2011 Supercharged I had exactly the same a year or two ago, the alarm going off (thinking the bonnet was open) on super sunny days. On mine the bonnet switch/plunger is on the opposite side to t ...

Do your chains/guides definitely need doing then, or you're just checking pricing for the future?

If you do get some quotes please let me know, as the prices for this job seem very variable!

Mine thankfully haven't yet needed doing, but I think QP Online have now become https://4x4enginerebuilds.co.uk - they certainly seem to do this sort of thing all the time and have very good feedback, ...

I went from a 110 TD5 SW to my L322 5.0 S/C as a condition of marriage 5 years ago, much as I had always planned to keep the 110!

For me it had to be a petrol because of London's ULEZ, but personal ...

Wasn't the Beaver originally a bus chassis? or maybe the other way round....

Coming ...

Great news - I've had a pair of trims sitting in the garage for a couple of months now, when I get time to remove the current ones and replace them! Hopefully mine come off as easily...

Yes, any 5.0 SC L322 Euro 4 compliant and thus exempt, as I believe is the 4.2 SC. I haven't checked the older BMW 4.4 petrol, but think that would be pre-2005ish anyway, depending on what age you are ...

I personally don't buy new tyres and brakes every year - other than the fuel/road tax/insurance above, the rest of the costs are presumably in reality spread over a number of years and aren't recurrin ...

They tend to fail right on the bend of material in the air bags at the bottom, where the expansion/contraction takes place. When my front left air spring went at 10 years old (just after I'd been usin ...

Great choice, not that I'm selling mine as I love it so much and think it's just such an iconic design.

Low mileage ones seem fairly few and far between now though given their age. When I bought mi ...
