hi pretlove, the new speaker you have fitted is a 3way unit, it the the speaker you replaced it with a mid/low range, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

daveo i think the speaker i removed was mid to low yes ....i take it by your reply thats gonna cause me problems
they sound ok but the rear speakers have more bass "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

not sure, just thought if your crossover is pushing mid to low to the door speaker there will be no high range for the tweeters, will it distort the high range, what was the impedance of the ones you removed 4 ohm's, not sure it will make any difference but as you have made a neat job of fitting them, would not want them to cause probs with your amp... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

In my last 04 FF i put the speakers from an 08 VSE Harmon Kardon system including the Sub Woofer (used and rewired the wiring from my sub box) and it was a massive improvement...

I must admit to being a little disappointed with the standard stereo in my Vogue. Gone from the Harman Kardon setup in a Disco 2 ES, and have a LINN system at home.

It just sounds a bit "flat", but then the "M Audio" setup in a 2001 M5 only sounded reasonable, so I wonder if the standard OEM BMW stuff is just like that.

May finish up with the amp upgrade yet........

Was your door card easy to remove? I'm tempted to get some 6 inch fly component speakers so I have separate tweeters to replace and pretty much do what you have there, how was your outcome? Would you say it's worked as you wanted it? Cheers

Do any of you guys no if it's safe to take the power off the live wire in the boot for an aftermarket sub?
