Suspension Inactive HDC Inactive

Well what can I say!!!

Brake caliper replaced and working perfectly but now I have a dash that looks like the "Vagas Strip"

The car drove fine for about 20 miles then Suspension Inactive, HDC Inactive faults flashed up along with 2 orange brake lights and the DSC triangle light. The suspension locks in normal height and wont lower or raise
When I switch the car off and re start the lights have gone out and the suspension works but as soon as I move off the lights and warnings come back on.

The battery is brand new, so it cant be that

I have an EAS Activate dongle and the code reads "Can Bus Fault"

Anyone got any ideas?

Check wiring in area of hub, may have dislodged during caliper replacement.

Mine had worn through on inside of tyre, worth a check.

check your ABS sensors - the reason you get all the lights is that the ABS is central to the CAN BUS and if triggered, sets off all the other sensors as they cannot be read. Mine had the same prob but cleared itself when I changed the wheels - check for worn wiring around the ABS sensor on the wheels.

disconnect battery, leave for 15 mins and re-connect, mine did exactly the same - suspension fault a reset seemed to cure it.

Likewise disconnecting battery negative terminal only for 15 minutes resets the computer. Need to also turn steering lock full turns left and right then drive vehicle for 100 metres error code returns to normal. Diver Bryn

This has just come up on mine Sad

I hadnt waited for the glowplug light to go out and cranked too early by accident and then ran the front and rear window heaters and seat heaters and steering wheel and as the standard battery I have is only 90ah I think I killed it again Sad

Just Soing the 15minute reset now but guess I may be writing a new battery sooner than I thought Sad

It did say -3 on the dash though when I got in and I already flattened it a week or so ago while washing the car and swapping the wheels over DOH!!

Fingers crossed the reset works as I have to get to brum this morning!!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Ha ha Very Happy

I wasnt looking as i started it leaning over from the passenger side and was going to carry on loading the car but when it didn't catch straight away i leaned over a bit more and waited for the light to go out.

Then put the heaters on and demisters and put some more kit in the car and then drove off but after about a mile it went DING DONG!

I hate that ruddy noise!

well guess i'll go pump ECP for a 110ah jobby if it happens again as im sure it will! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
