first issue.

There seems to be a bit of an oil leak under the car Sad I haven't looked yet, but are there any common issues in the 4.2sc my2007?

Cheers,

Paul.[/url]

What color is the oil or smell? I thought I had oil leak until I took a smell and it was diesel from high pressure injector on td6 tho

Nah, definately engine oil. Looks like it's coming from the left hand side of the engine (looking from the front). I'll have to get the undertray off I suppose to see where it's coming from.

darn it!!!

Paul.

My SC dripped oil from the transfer box and was fixed under the LR extended warranty last year.

Get the car up to off road height and take a look, it should be easy to spot whether it's really an engine oil leak or part of the transmission.

I think it may be from the transfer box. I take it that's right underneath the engine?

Paul.

Transfer box is on the *back* of the gearbox......so no, it's not under the engine.

The sump is the only thing under the engine Whistle

Well after further inspection, its not that bad. I have a gocar warranty, I might just wait until its next service and get it looked at then? Will an aftermarket warranty cover leaks?

Paul.

I decided to go back to the dealer. They are going to sort it out for me. Too right!

I don't regret buying the car.....an oil leak isn't the end of the world. Could be worse!

Having been around Land Rovers all of my life, I've noticed that the only time they dont leak fluids is when they're dry!
