Gaining access to an 06-09 RR puddle light?

IMPOSSIBLE. tried attacking it with the screwdriver. Broke the screwdriver and went away crying.

All I want to do is replace the bulbs with LED ones

Cam-Tech-Craig can you help?!

They are tricky to get off, u need a flat blade screw driver and insert on side facing outward of the bulb case, then prise it out. They are held in just like all the other lights in the car, with a clip in one side..I broke one of my mirrors trying to get it off, that's how tough thy can be to get out.

Which side do i need to insert it on? if im facing the mirrror (as in the actual mirror which does the reflecting) itself do i insert the screwdriver furthest or nearest to me?

If i brake the light can i buy a replacement or am i gonna need to buy a new mirror?

If ur facing the reflective part, u should be trying to open the side on ur left obviously underneath.. I can take a picture tomo to show u exactly.. I haven't bothered getting new one, probably will as water will eventually get inside. I have never seen the light part on its own for sale but maybe some of the other guys on the forum could tell u if u can buy them separately? I'd be interested in one myself..

Or pull the glass off the clips and you'll see the bulb housing and can push it out from there
