Another difference between question (L322 2002-06)

I've had a look around the wiki section and a general web search but I might as well use my time efficiently by asking if anyone has any guides as to what was included in the various models. (2002-2006ish)

I know things like heated rear seats, sunroofs, headlights, better leather, Sat/Nav etc. are options between the models but I don't know which and when.

One reason I'm trying to work out is things like the Sat/Nav/TV package. I can't imaging the Sat/Nav on a 03 to be any good and now the TV's won't work so these are items that need to be modernised. Maybe it would be better going for a lower spec then adding a modern entertainment package instead.

Now I'm on a proper keyboard instead of a PS3........

When I was looking, I'd decided it had to be at least a Vogue spec, as I'd always wanted a screen in the dash and Xenon headlights etc.

I then realised that you could get a non facelift car, with the touch screen and better harmon kardon hi-fi. I prefer the look of the original car, so at a push, maybe I could get one with the touch screen etc. Think the cross over was late 2004 early 2005 (?) before the full facelift hit.

Having bought my 2003 car (with non touchscreen), I now find out that the early ones with the touchscreen are very difficult to upgrade, as they were effectively a Ford/Denso front end (screen) interfacing to BMW comms and wiring systems etc.

Hence, I think it near impossible to upgrade the TV to digital etc. You can do it on the early ones like mine (BMW electronics), and the full facelifts (Ford electronics), but not the hybrid model.

So I'm pleased I got a non touchscreen system. (The full facelift was more than I wanted to spend on the car).

The seats are better in the Vogue, and have much more adjustment. Think they are the seats from the BMW 7 series at the time.

I'm not an expert on the later cars, as mine is BMW based.

You can retro fit bluetooth and stuff like that to the early cars, and add digital TV, so you can get them more uptodate, if you are looking at an earlier model.

If I can find a spec sheet, I'll try and post one up.

Hope you follow my long winded explanation.......

Here we go - hope you can read it......from 2003 brochure........
