Veba Car Freeview

hi all, i bumped into a chap in Sainsbury's with a 03 RR he was watching free view and i know a few people on here including my self have been interested in this upgrade. i have look at the bmw hybrid unit as a straight swap but this is a expensive unit and are hard to come by.
this chap was more then willing to show me what he had....
first he had the av lead http://www.toysinyourcar.com/acatalog/rng_av.html
this was connected to the TV tuner.
then he had a free view box http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VEBA-DVB-DIGITAL-FRE...1c0c9d423a
connected to the lead, the head unit was on aux and he had a cracking picture.
it had 2 antennas one on each side, on the rear quarters at the top off the glass and with the tinted windows you could hardly see them from outside
it cost around 200 with the 2 antennas and a few hours to fit,
well worth a look

daveo,
now you have the experience, will this also work, please have a look at the sockets and compare with your av lead
http://www.toysinyourcar.com/acatalog/rng_av.html

hi.... it looks like a similar unit, if the video is real then it has excellent reception..the antennas look a bit large, not as nice as the veba but if you can hide them away all is good.
there are 2 leads from toys in your car, one is av in/out and the other is av in/out with rear camera but if your tuner has a rear cam socket then go for the first one.
