You think you have problems? I can't get my IID to scan most of my modules. (Apparently, some ecus can get locked out by an offensive ecu)

I had this problem years ago where the Gap tool would scan up to ECU13 ( think it was 13) which was the driver's side headlight so I unplugged the ECU and then it would scan through all the ECUs properly and would tell me that ECU13 was missing 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

2011 TDV8 4.4

My new IID won't show show the engine ECU when I try to view live values.

It can see the ECU to tell me that there aren't any faults and can check the software versions in the ECU but refuses to show me the ECU when I want to look at live values.

It works fine on various other FFRR, including 2004 TD6 3.0 & 2015 SDV8 4.4.

Any idea what is going on?

Try this;
-Start the car
-Connect the tool
-Menu--IIDTool Config--Find ECUs
-Go check live date

Make sure the tool is up to date. http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Please send me an email using our contact form. This is an abnormal situation as this works and has been for years. http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

I messaged earlier this month and received a similar reply to your initial response. I didn’t receive a response when I messaged back saying that didn’t work. Sent a follow up a couple of days ago to see if anyone had any other suggestions.

PM me your email address, I cant seem to locate it.

Edit; found your initial inquiry and my reply. We never received any feedback afterwards nor did we receive an inquiry in the last few days. http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Hi guys,
I have recently bought an iidtool from a fellow member, when I put it in obd post, switch ignition and try to connect to it using the app.
It doesn't and crashes. Says something like.invalid bluetooth state.
Has anyone seen this problem before.
Or if you have bought it 2nd hand, how did you go about setting it up.. please help

Start by downloading the IID Updater from the Gap website and reflash your IID tool firmware and see if that resolves the BT issue 2011 TDV8 Vogue SE

Transportation mode

Hello all
2003 Td6 L322
Only had my car for a week, and only spent a small amount of time with her due to many other issues, life eh!
Car was delivered to me on a transporter, simply because it was too far for me to travel to get her. She has a new MOT and is good to drive but with issues.
I've started fully servicing, engine and gearbox oils and filters replaced etc so far. I've got issues with wipers, central locking and interior lighting.
Today I took delivery of my new Gap iid tool, so can now do some proper investigation.
Faults cleared except for: BPM Body Processor v4. 0xB4 Body Control Unit is in transportation mode.
Gap tool does not clear this fault at present. Any help or advice would be most appreciated.
Cheers
Mark

Not a fault as such. Looks as if it has been put into transport mode for delivery. It locks the suspension whilst being transported and affects others systems.

Have a look in the Gap manual for accessing transport mode in the CCF. I think it is in the BCU configuration but check it. John
