Sorry if this is covered somewhere else, but I did a search and couldn't find what I needed.

I'm considering borrowing a mates caravan for Carfest, but I don't have a towbar on my 2007 S/C.

I've had a look at the back and I have a tow eye on the right hand side and there's a female plug for the electrics, but I can't see anywhere for a tow ball to slot in.

What are my options? I know there's a detatchable towbar available for the FF - but how do I know if I've got the right plumbing for this?

Bit confused about what I'd need to buy....thanks in advance! Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Nope, don't have one of those.

I do have the electric (13 pin) connector, but can't see anything for a tow bar. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

i think you might have the 'structure' for a towbar but not the towbar itself...havnt seen one of these before sorry...you could pop into a towbar fitting centre and ask.. ... - .- -.

That is part of the mounting bracket. There should be one each side with a horizontal bar running between them. Normally in the middle of the bar is a square hole for slotting in a tow bar. The hole may be filled in with a square plastic plug with Land Rover written on it. If you have that fitted, just prise the plug out with a screw driver or similar. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

The two brackets that are removed, when fitting a towbar, are also made by Westfalia

So it looks like I might have part of the kit, but not all of it.

I'm missing the horizontal bar. Hmmm.... Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Ok, have sorted it. I need Westfalia part no. eBay Item No. 323074600001 for the tow bar and then I need to buy the tow ball too.

Too expensive for one weekend...
