I got no difference on insurance apart from a free modification! Whoop whoop. I haven't bothered with the road tax saving as wasn't with the hassle of filling in the forms. I've got a 95L tank and 2 compressors. Only one plumbed in mind you. One sits in the rear right pocket where the toe hitch goes and the other is in the area where he spare wheel and tank sit. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Just had my 1000 mile checkup and efficiency tweaks.

Interestingly whilst waiting in the office I overheard one of their guys describing a training day with them, it is basically a service they offer where you can watch your own LPG kit being installed and they talk you through the process. All included in the price of the conversion. 03 4.4 V8 petrol / lpg. 1st of many hopefully. I love my Rangie

If you do the road tax thing i believe it then puts your car in the system to enter London as an LPG'd car...

Craig, think they stopped the LPG thing for London a while back. I tried but couldn't find a classification - it's all about electric now!! Evil or Very Mad

from the TFL site:
"You don't have to pay the Congestion Charge or register if the vehicle is recorded at the DVLA in one of these categories:
Two-wheeled motorbikes (and sidecars), and mopeds
Emergency service vehicles, such as ambulances and fire engines, which have a taxation class of 'Ambulance' or 'Fire engine'
NHS vehicles that are exempt from road tax
Vehicles used by disabled people that are exempt from road tax and have a 'disabled' taxation class
Vehicles for more than one disabled person (for example Dial-A-Ride) exempt from road tax and have a 'disabled' taxation class.

Greener vehicles
Cars which emit 100g/km or less of CO2 and that meet the Euro 5 standard for air quality qualify for a 100 per cent discount.
You can check the C02 emissions of your car on the V5C registration document. Any car registered as new with the DVLA on or after 1 January 2011 is deemed to meet the Euro 5 standard.
Some cars registered before this date will also meet the Euro 5 standard -
Audi A3 1.6 TDI stop-start
Citroen C3 1.6 Hdi
Citroen DS3 1.6 Hdi
Fiat 500 and 500C Petrol
Fiat Punto Evo 1.3 16V Multijet

Hi, I have read through this thread with interest and decided to get this done myself using the installer mentioned.

I spoke on the phone and had a quite un-enthusiastic chap quote me £1199 + VAT (£1438) and he said it would be with a 79 ltr tank (65 ltr) usable.

Shame, you must have got a good deal as I would have gone for the £999 + VAT and 95 ltr tank which you seem to have managed.

I'll keep looking for other options!

That is a shame, I would give it another go and ask to speak directly to Andy the boss. I have a feeling the staff may be on a bonus if they can sell it above the advertised price of £999.

They will put the bigger tank into the loadspace if you opt for that but the largest they can get in the wheel-well is 65ltr usable capacity.

PM me if I can be of any help.

The installation they did for me has been faultless so far.

You can get a 95L tank in that space with a working capacity of 75-78L. That's what I have in mine and no need to modify the floor either. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I'm sure I've read on here of someone with a 100L tank but they had to have a false floor made as the extra height caused issues. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
