I didn't think it was legal to repair sidewall damage, if the tyre was to be used on the road

Its fine to repair if done to BS AU 159 although most places will fib and say that it cant be done so as to sell you a new tyre and also save them the hassle as only a few places can do it as im finding out Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Its illegal to patch repair a sidewall, not a major repair... Personally, i would not repair a road tyre for any of my cars as i have seen them de-laminate! And the cost of a new tyre is worth it for my piece of mind...

Obviously off road tyres are another matter as are not hitting high prolonged speed on a motorway!

You can't buy the Goodyear MTR new any-more and I think its been a year or two since they stopped selling if not longer which is the crux. I don't mind buying part worn ones due to their use, but for their cost if I can I would rather safely repair it as they don't ever go over 60mph anyway and spend most of their time either in the garden or crawling round green lanes with MORC Smile

You never think that tyres can be so noisy but they ruddy are!! Hoping it snows as well so I can see how good they are in the snow even though they aren't truly snow tyres there are M&S classed Smile

Repair being no more than £30 its an economical way to keep a tyre useful Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
