2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

thanks for lots fo replies - especially the last few!!!!

next question is - (please bear with me) - I spotted these on flea-bay....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RANGE-ROVER-L322-200...1c0f2d7ba4

They're from a 2006 model - question is, will the fit on my 2007 TDV8???
Then, does anyone know for sure how the fix onto the car? As I mentioned, I managed to prise the chrome off mine, and underneath there appeared to be four enormous blobs of adhesive holding them on....is it simply a matter of getting rid of old glue, replacing with new (not sure what typre yet) and sticking on the new covers?????
It was not such a big deal - but its now driving me mad - the LR owners section has a PDF to fit covers - but it does not mention glue....it looks as if they just clip on....and also the KLR ones seem to be one piece chrome covers when mine are definitely 2-piece - and complete with genuine LR stickers on them....

help please!

Dont *think* they will fit - they look more like '02-05 to me Confused

These will: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-FULL-MIRROR-CO...5d26e3ac63

They come with some sort of tape to hold them on but the LR ones have to be glued on - LR supply this but it aint cheap, I think I paid around £20 fo the tube. '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto for the Mrs

Those ebay ones look like the older elephant ears type of wing mirror, its hard to tell with only one poor quality shot. Maybe you should contact the seller for another side profile picture then we can tell. Discovery 4 HSE

Sorry - more questions - I think Im going to spray the chrome air intake grille on the bonnet - have found Java black aerosol paint and primer + laquer - how do I best prepare the cover for painting - its awfully shiny at the moment - a light dusting with sandpaper or will that ruin the appaearance - advice very gratefully received....

IMHO, a good going over with some P320 Silicon carbide (wet&dry) and a light in between coat sanding with either P600 or so, (maybe P320 if you're very gentle and the paint is well cured)

Try to ensure that the part gets a good overnight dry in the house at this time of year between coats.

Also they old maxim of more lighter coats rather than one big f Censored k off thick coat which will make it look like a toffee apple.

Others here probably have more experience and can give better advice. Thumbs Up

Last question....how do I remove the vent - a quick look earlier seems as if it simply clips onto the bonnet...anything I need to be wary of with washer jets etc....??
Sorry - I'm really very very new to this - and woudl hate to break anything!!!

of course - be grateful if anyone thinks this is an especially good or bad idea!!! With the grill and mirrors painted the same black as the bodywork - I thought it would look rather nice....if the worst came to the worst, I guess I could order another intake grille...forgot to mention, Im also goign to paint the fog light surrounds - which again are chromed at the moment - partly as I dont like them, and partly becuase they have become chipped and scratched and are lookign very dull.....opions on a postcard please (and any advice on removing the grille of course)
Promise full before and after pics.....
