All good again - new MAF

Had a slight misfire for a while now, just noticeable at low revs in a high gear - made it feel a bit like crossing a cattle grid.

Being a naturally optimistic fellow, I assumed initially that the gearbox was on it's way out for Christmas. But I changed the plugs - as they appeared to be the one it left the factory with, but still the niggle was there.

So - thought it could just be down to the mixture not being right - and that would be the MAF - got a genuine Bosch one off the bay for £70 brand new. Just fitted it, and it's like being in a new car. What an improvement!

I think the old one hadn't really failed, as it wasn't causing a fault code to register, as it would if it was a long way out of wack, but it was far enough out to mess up the smooth running.

So, a cheap fix for the start of the year.

I'm sure Dan is still in a Christmassy mood and will do a 'buy one, get three free' deal!
