Do you have the Air Conditioning on "Automatic" Two lights - all the time?

Yes, Air con is on "automatic". Not entirely sure what you mean by "two lights". Do you mean

A) 2 illuminated lights on the "Auto" dial itself?
Or
B) 2 illuminated lights on the ring surrounding the dial?

In my case - there are 2 lights illuminated on the dial itself & 3 lights on the ring surrounding the dial. If I turn the air con dial to the left = 1 light on the dial + 2 lights on the ring.

Sorry about the daft question but I poured over the handbook which isn't terribly detailed. Nor does it say anything about car cabin air pressure.

Could be worth a swap, i did the ones in my bmw as i was getting a slightly foosty smell in the car.

Made a hell of a difference, also worth having the aircon santised. Not difficult and you can get a can to do it with from halfords. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

By the way, good luck with the SC and the weirdness! When I had a Sport SC the pressure would build up inside. I knew someone who said a football exploded in his boot from the pressure build up Shocked

WHAT?????!!!!!!

If I interpret your message correctly - you COULDN'T ultimately rectify the pressure build-up in your Sport SC?

Yes, you just opened the window to regulate it. I never had it as bad as that chap told me, and I never witnessed it but I would get popping ears in mine.

I don't understand why it happened but it did. Never had it with an L322 though. Discovery 4 HSE

Thanks again felllow FFRR folks!

The cabin air con settings are definitely correct...at least from my side. Whether the car then correctly executes the settings from its side is anyones guess. What I DO know is that I cant have a car who makes my ears pop driving around on the flat. Whats it going to do when we drive it up and down the mountains in the Alps?

And far more importantly...we are getting a new pup later his year. No way would I put a pup in this car at the moment - it would ruin the dog's car worthiness forever. I am 100% sure of it. All of our previous dogs ( Bernese Mountain Dogs) ADORED the RRs. In fact, even my friends dogs were nuts about riding in the P 38 and classic. Me thinks its the V8 petrol woofle.

Its going in mid next week to my local INDI LR specialist for a thorough check. IF he can fix the issues - fantastic. If not, I am going to move on and trade it in. In the 23 years of owning RRs not once did I spend my time researching weird car quirks on the internet - I was busy out driving & enjoying my new car. And thus far I had very little enjoyment from this one.

For all I know there is nothing whatsoever wrong with it. Maybe its just an owner - car personality clash. Happens. Same with people: with some you are on the same wavelength and with some you just don't click. Whilst unfortunate, it is just a car.

Whilst I feel somewhat moronic posting this update - I felt I should in case anyone else ever encounters the same issue:

Turns out it WASN'T the new RR, or it's previous tyre combination, nor an iffy suspension or crummy filters which made me feel permanently queasy and made my ears pop whenever I was driving it...but an inflammation of the eustachian tubes. A week of antibiotics and everything is dandy. No more weird cabin pressure sensation and no queasiness.

I likely would have gone on blaming the car if I had not gone for a drive in a friends car and had the same ear pressure issues. I had been in her car often enough to know that it wasn't her vehicle, but FINALLY twigged that something else must be up.

The strange thing about it all...I had no cold, no anything which would have indicated that something was amiss with me rather than the car and since the onset of my inexplicable motion sickness coincided with the arrival of the new RR I ascribed it all to the new car. Unfortunate coincidence and bad timing.

Still, at least the car has a set of brand new tyres and a full health check. An expensive sinus infection ( my first) Embarassed
