Engine Art..........

As you can't see much under the bonnet of todays cars, other than a plastic acoustic cover, as most of us on here are "petrol heads", though I do have a diesel, I thought it would be nice to see engine pics from cars we own or have owned in the past, where they were more of an art form.....

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

One day I would like to have a cut open V8 or V12 as a display unit (driven by an electric motor) as a coffee table. Obviously that will not be allowed in the living room by order of SWMBO so it will be sitting in the workshop couch corner of the "ideal house", next to the workshop itself where the FFRR will be maintained, the trike will be finished and the bikes will be maintained Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Here's the motor from my last project. Small block chevy bored/stroked to 383ci (6.3 litre) with forged rods and pistons, billet cam, AFR heads etc... made around 415hp/415ftlbs on the dyno.

Here's how it started

As the yanks say, there aint no substitute for cubic inches! Two turbos as well? Jesus!!! I wouldn't be still around to type this! Laughing I love the refinement of the FF but there is something very special about lairy old school engines. Never happier than when we're building one.

Very much liking the FE 390 Gazellio. Guessing thats a late 60's Mustang? Desperate to get one of those before the prices go too high. Bow down Lloyd Barnes

Doesnt need to be lairy as in big boost spikes. Smile I ran 330bhp out of a Fiat Coop with the turbo boost set to the lowest it would possibly go Smile due to its spool up it was lie a nice powerful NA lump and had no big boost spike Smile It was very very subtle Smile though wheel spinning in 5th on wet roads was always fun no matter what tyres were fitted Very Happy it not always the size but what you do with the size that matters Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
