Not an import. It was a pre-prod (hence the 09 plate) LR mule used by an LR manager (or so the dealer's told me) Graham

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

Looked at that last year Mick. They can't give the thing away. There was also a green one, a lot newer quite recently in a Southampton dealer which I went to look at. I'd have bought it as well but there are issues with them.

Thing is, it was never a spec for the UK so stuff like repair items have to be ordered in from abroad, South Africa usually. Anything which is not common to both LHD and RHD is not held in UK stock anywhere. Think about fuel filters....unless it was common to a S/C RR etc. Plus of course the dealers have the devil's own job servicing them. No software for the diags on UK computers.......and so on. Warranty ?? Yeah good luck. Officially yes but subject to all the above.

'Tis a veritable pit of vipers. Thumbs Up

England 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Mate of mine has just ordered 2 disco 4's both commercial, the one he has ordered for his wife (company secretary) is fully loaded, even down to piano black trim, sat nav etc after his discounts and bearing in mind he gets the vat back it owes him 30K and its £800 for a firm to come down and put the leather back seat in it. Its a diesel by the way. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

I would imagine whoever the dealer is in Lewes East Sussex, he gets a 5% discount as both he and his brother have one every 3 years I think and another 5% for being in the farmers union, the one he is just getting rid of owed him just over 22K (after vat) and he reckons it will make 20-21K in Ireland as they want to buy commercially registered cars, something to do with fuel duty and tax, so its cost him like 1-2K to have the disco 4 for I think 3 years. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

But he gets vat back on it and sells it with vat on plus as its commercial the tax is cheaper and he can put all his fuel receipts in. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Yes the VAT back is included in the net £30k he is paying:

£32k base + £8k Extras = £40k

£40k - 10% = £36000

£36k - 20% VAT = £30k.....

(£24k net for the base model D4 Commercial)
