United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

I'm there now Very Happy La Plagne

Stopped in Lyon on the way down, then up into the mountains first thing.

Skiing all day saturday, then stopping in Reims on the way back.

When are you travelling ? It will be very busy this weekend, so try to avoid travelling up to the mountains on Saturday unless very early (or late)

was going to catch the 2300 ferry on Friday and tank it down to arrive c. 8am in the resort, or can delay it and go on Sunday night/Mon morning.

When is blasted half-term?

Mine are off this week, but most schools in the south east break up on Friday - so you're travelling on one of the busiest days of the year,, but travelling through the night you should be ok.

The only risk is if there ared tunnel delays on Friday, there will be a backlog as pretty much all trains are likely to be full.

I don't use the ferry, but assume if you've got a booked place, you should be ok.

I'm heading off next weekend in down to Meribel in the fullfat. Did Avoriaz/Morzine last year which was good too. When you add up all the flight durations and security, travel and transfers driving can be so much more relaxing.

We are stopping of in or near Dijon on the way down and back to make a small holiday of it.

It is also great having a car in some of the resorts so you can try different resorts without having to pile into the buses. Tom

Geneva airport coming back is a frigging nightmare! Its basically an old cattle shed they put you in and the queues wind up and down the building like a world champ playing snake on an old nokia!

Luckily we showed up with 120minutes to our flight taking off so got to dodge the queues but even security checks still had an hour long queue Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

We drive every year - stopped at Dijon once, but the queues on Saturday were a nightmare, so now we try to get closer and an early start on Saturday. We were on the slopes for 11 Very Happy
