Alpine EZI-DAB

Decided to fit this neat wee unit to give me DAB radio AND Ipod control.

Used a Brodit proclip to attach it.

The Ipod/Phone/Pad is connected to the unit by a standard USB and Apple cable, so it's charged as well.

All you need to do is select Ipod as the source and that lets you scroll through the same options as usual, artists, albums, podcasts etc.

I bought it from FleaBay, secondhand, but they don't come up very often. You can buy them new from about £159 + a DAB antenna.

It's not that difficult to install, depending on how handy you are obviously! Thumbs Up

I'm happy to help/offer any help I can. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I like the look of theses, however how does it cope if the frequency you have picked is close to one that is used by say a local radio station. If I drive from my home near Glasgow to say Manchester will I be retuning it every few miles or is its transmitter powerful enough to override weaker signals on the same frequency or a sideband of one? You are either at Le Mans or waiting for Le Mans

Never had a problem with the reception of mine in almost a year of use.

I've driven from Manchester and past Glasgow on a few occasions and didn't experience any issues in those areas. Si. <This is my name.

Thinking about buying one too. The RR solution is too expensive I think and not that great.

I am more or less good with tool. (built some RC Boats and Drones)

I dont have a lot of experience with Car Electronics. Where did you install it?

Where are the relevant antenna cables on the touchscreen? I would like to wire mine into the antenna.

So I guess the quality is gonna be better than just FM Broadcast.

Any help is appreciated Very Happy

I didn't touch the antenna on the touchscreen. I put a DAB antenna on the left hand corner of the windscreen.
I put the control box behind the passenger ( in your case the drivers) side panel.
I use the AUX input on the RSE for input, as the FM isn't great. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
