The difference between FFRR and RRS drivers...

Driving home from work last night on the M5, I was caught up by a black RRS in lane 3. It came up behind me and before I had chance to move to lane 2, the RRS was undertaking me!. It then proceeded to weave in and out of traffic using all three lanes, before exiting.
Proper chavved up thing as well it was. Squared off front and rear bumpers, huge rims, blacked out square mesh grille and a silver shield shaped badge on the back with RR in the centre of it.

A bit like this:

Did you wish you were still working at the time... Question

A little stop for a chat would have slowed him down.

Angel,

Yeah, I was one of the FIRST RRS drivers before they became bling and crass! Cool

I took an instant dislike to everone putting SC bits on their TDV6 cars to make them look like a SC, and I cannot stand aftermarket jewellery on them.

I feel that having had one for so long and knowing as much about them as I did, I can stand in my glass house and throw as many stones as I wish! Discovery 4 HSE

Adam, I agree with your statement if you put a "supercharged" badge on it or if you take off the old badge completely in order to mislead people!! On my RR I have changed to the SC side vents and the lower front pumper but my VOGUE TDV8 badge is going to stay right where it is Mr. Green
Personally think it looks way better now Very Happy
If I wanted to buy an SC I would have so in the first place, no need to change badge..
And no lover of bling bling either.. Laughing

Actually I guess you could say I am a total hypocrite as on both my 2 FFRR I have swapped the front grille and vents for the SC version, not in order to pass the car off as a SC but because its looks more modern and neater up front.

Some DO go the whole hog and swap wheels, rear lights, put fake exhaust tips and of course the dreaded SC badge on the boot. I followed a guy in a 2003 TD6 who had done this...he hadn't even had it chipped so it was really slow, and he left the old orange rear lights on too, who did he think he was kidding?!!!!! De-badging your S/c is probably a good idea here in crimechester. Unfortunately it's the fastest car you can get, that will fit a stolen cash machine in the back! Also, with super secure immobiliser, theres only 1 way theyre getting the car. With a fight!

Better of rebadging as a slower TD6 or better still a Lada Niva! Laughing

Very similar car, but not that one. The' REVERE' was blacked out front and rear.

A letter has gone out to the lucky owner, advising them of their driving style. Hoepfully its nothing to do with anyone here! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
