How much gas does the S/C really use?

I really intetessted how much gas the FFRR S/C 2007 need. Everybody tells me the SC only needs 12l/100km. Is that true? I am afraid it needs around 20l.
Can somebody tell me how much it really needs? Average? City, highway?

Have never seen anywhere near 20l even towing.

Overall average 13.4l/100km over the last 10,000 km
Highway cruising at 100kmh 11.75l/100km
City 15l/100km

Not even in the catalogue they have those numbers.
In 2007, which is the same engine as a 2006 the numbers were, straight from the 2007 cat:
urban: 22,4 lts/100km
extra urban: 12.2 lts
combined: 16 lts

If you do make them, then you really are a ''fuel consumption freak''. Bow down

For ''Alias'', on a general note, the manufacturer values are worth almost nothing.
You can count on 17-19 combined. Around 24 city, and 12.2 at 90km/h (that one is the only they can get right...if you also cruise at level road at 90 forever....)

Actually I spend a lot of time in the car covering between 500-1000 km a week.

So you say it is around 16l/100km? If I drive the car for a test drive I can never drive long enough to find out how much gas it needs.

Laughing sorry guys, not very constructive I know!

I tend to get around 14.5 MPG average and I have a relatively leaden foot. (19.48l/100KM)

Usally what kills the avg's is the fact that you never drive the car as in the tests.

RealRR, Australian as he is, must drive it for miles after miles in long, level, straight roads always at 100km/h.
Doing that, I can believe his numbers.

But, the more normal thing is overtakes, city driving, 140/150 kms cruising on highway, 100's on secondary roads, and that kills the manufactures numbers.

As a general rule, consider the combined number 16 and the city number, 22.
The correct combined will be something in between the two numbers.
meaning on a SC, your general everyday average would be around 19.

A few days of ownership in and we seem to be getting around 16mpg in town.

Not had a good run on the motorway yet.
