TPMS - spare wheel?

Hi

The TPMS fun continues...
So I know the system works , as light on dash was not on before this started..

I have replaced both rears and spare with new TPMS sensors and valves (corroded!)
Searched the web and here (of course!). Razz
I understand that car should have Registered all the sensors by now, as I have driven the requisite amount of time & speed , spare has 43psi etc

Still the light is on, "check ALL tyre pressures" but no further clues as to what wheels it's unhappy with .

I know there is another step where spare needs to be used on the road wheel to register,
Then can be put back in the boot . That's quite a
Hassle on a rainy Sunday , so trying to avoid for now.

If I take spare out of car, and go for a drive , will it be one less tyre for
System to check, and give me a more specific error ?

Hallelujah !! Praise da Lord Bow down

Took spare out, drove 10 mins round the block...
As I got home, light went out, car recognised all 4 "road wheels"
message only said "Check Spare tyre pressure", (rather than Check All...) then that went out too Razz

Basically spare isn't registered until I run it on the car, but message only appears at start up then goes off. Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

A mechanic with the right gizmos can 'introduce' the space wheel tpms to the car. You don't need to put it on the car and drive, but then you do need the gizmo.

It seems terribly English. Very Happy Tpms (in a Lesley Phillips voice) "I say, Mr. Car, I don't believe I've had the pleasure..." Thumbs Up
