i got a bit carried away with my self, the stealers wanted 250+ after programming and i was ot going to pay that. so the thought of only having one key and if it got lost is not something i wanted to think about.

So what do we need to do this daveo ? Is it cheaper than buying a key from the stealer ? What if I only have one key? .

you need a unit called EWS Editor, new chip, and a key blank, the hardest part is removing the EWS unit from the car(center consle out) as you need to read this with the new tool, this is the bit where you can do the damage, you need to touch a pin on the board to read, after you get the info from the unit you can start writing a new key, once done then its back to the EWS and you have to write back to it and tell it that a new key is on the system.

Like many owners I suspect I'd like to freshen up one of my keys which has a pierced case through wear and tear but this doesn't seem like a job for the faint hearted. |

It has arrow to open, large button to close and boot release with red light in the corner. Probably original I would say dave. |
