It's to stop the paint being removed when mud/grit/water is flicked up at 70mph. No mine doesnt have it, I also have no paint left and a serious rust problem in both wheel arches |

It looks like a common profile, I guess it could be added, do you think it should be only on the rear arches or on all 4 of them?

I checked on 2 Range Rovers and the joint is present only on the rear left arch on all of them. I tried to put the joint on my right wheel arch and it doesn't fit, there isn't enough space. |

I dont have it....... Hence the paints removed itself on one wing !!

I can confirm that on the right arch, the one that doesn't have a seal, the paint has faded and the white layer is visible. |
