United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Td6 Vogue Auto Buckingham Blue

Nick - I think that a "2006 56 Vogue SE with 30k miles for about £33K" is far too high ! There were some outrageous asking prices at main dealers for 2004 non facelift Vogues a few weeks ago (around £30k), but with careful searching I think that you should be able to get a mint condition car of that specification for 5-8k less ...

Australia 2006 Range Rover Td6 Vogue Auto Cairns Blue

Keyed paint , curbed wheels , marked seat, private sale and no main dealer warranty Thud
anything north of £30,000 is getting hard to justify.
If he wants more then at least he should fix the car up. 2006 MY FFRR Vogue TD6

I agree with Mick about the way the car has been treated being important.

When I was looking for my Vogue SE I went to see one at a dealer in the west midlands, On paper it sounded great, got there and it was horrendous. I was gobsmacked someone could treat their car like that. Within 5 minutes of looking at it I walked away and told the salesman exactly why.

I know what you mean about the ways cars can be fixed, but if someone doesn't care about the car, even though it's been tarted up, it could be hiding something that will crop up later in life from it's neglect.

I once bought a car off a mate, it really bit me on the arse, long story short, the car was just 'wrong' and caused me to crash one day, it had 4K of repairs, it didn't handle right (before or after) and I didn't want to lose the friendship so I sold it ASAP and got rid) I will never buy a car off someone I know ever again. It's not wirth the hassle. THE INVENTOR OF THE TERM "FULL-FAT RANGE ROVER" :

What about this one?

2007/07 Vogue in Stornoway Grey with Parchment leather. 37K miles on the colour. 1 year warranty. 35995. 12 month factory warranty. I am sure you could haggle a couple of grand off of that price

When I was looking last August, I found a 2007/07 TDV8 Vogue SE in Tonga Green with 70K miles for 30K but the car was not loved and the broken windows theory will probably apply.

Car is sound mechanically.. its not his fault someone keyed it outside his house to be fair..

Any issues have been addressed under warranty and its just had a full service with brakes.

I cannot find another one with mileage for less than £36-38k.. where are these you refer to?

I think he would be happy at £32k and i have been quoted about £1k to sort the scratches. so all up i get the car for £33k sorted plus valet..

This is trade value for the car. I phoned 2 other deals on similar cars and they said £500 is the most they would knock off as these cars are flying out the door and getting hard to find..

I know what everyone is saying, but show me a black car with similar or better mileage for the same money??

36k Private in Glasgow is the closest.. Saxton wouldnt discount and want £38k for the same car with 40k miles..

What to do???

Thanks all for taking the time.
