Careful Magicbob I may take you up on your offer - lol

I spent 3 weeks in Perth (14 years ago) and loved it

Was there as a guest of Fortron who are based on Osbourne Park

Hougtons White Burgundy was a particular treat - lol

Great returns now on MPG after all the work carried out

I covered over 600 mile this weekend touring round The Lake District etc

I always reset consumption 2 with every tank fill up and I reset consumption 1 the day I bought the Range Rover

Well on the way up from The Miglunds at a steady 65 - 70 mph (on cruise) I returned 37.4 MPG over a distance of 180 mile (to Carlisle) on Cons 2

The best previously on Consumption 2 was 25.6

RESULT !!

How much of an mission is it to remove all the rads and the bumper to get to the water pump?

I've got a few issues...needs a new thermostat so doing the water pump at the same time, EGR delete, the A/C clutch seems to have packed up so need access to that and also seems to be a leak on the inter-cooler is there an easier way? Big Cry

I'm not looking to keep the car so the less i'd have to dismantle it the better

If you look for Joe90 I'm sure he has done most of this without taking the front off. The viscous is the biggest pain!

I can only say from experience that the egr delete and egr coolant thermostat delete are easily doable from the front once the fan is gone(I removed my viscous many moons ago! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Thanks for the reply, managed to test my A/C pump coil without taking the bumper and all that off and it works!...directly from the battery, annoyingly there is only 9.2V getting to the connector that comes from the loom?!?!? so I know the pump is now fine but something electrical is the problem now.

On another note, I have now got the viscous fan off and the cowl out of the way and did an EGR delete, fully blanked at the exhaust manifold and the valve body removed, instantly wow what a difference!
Bearing in mind I had the vacuum tube removed from the valve to stop it operating for quite some time... with it all gone there is no horrible exhaust fumes or very little at all in comparison to when it was all plumed in, I used to start it up and be stood by the drivers door and get a very strong waft of horrible exhaust gasses, now theirs barely a wiff!

also there is a noticeable kick of boost if very slowly increasing the throttle at around 1500 rpm, can only guess that the reduced volume in the exhaust manifold (due to blanking) has a. helped it fuel better and therfore get rid of the horrible smell and b. made the turbo more responsive

all in all a positive evening!
will be getting on with the water pump over the week/weekend
