TPMS Warnings

My 2008 V8 (NAS) has been giving off TPMS warnings to 'check tyre pressure." I've checked ALL the tyres including pulling out the spare and checking it (a pain). The warning is intermitent, but getting worse.

How to fix?

Can this be turned off until I have it in for its regular service in about 6-8 weeks?

FYI: The car has stock 20" rims.

Help much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

it can be turned off if you have diagnostics which can edit the CCF file, for example the IID tool or a Faultmate. Do a search on here for TPMS and you'll see a load of similar issues. I turned mine off for similar reasons, i.e. being unreliable.

I get this and so do some other members. It's an age thing; batteries in sensors fail after 6 or 7 years, so new sensors needed 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE Java Black

Whilst my TPMS has no issues at the moment, I purchased a set of new sensors from eBay for about £30

When the seller finally gets round to sending me some nuts they will be fitted along with some new tyres

This is purely a precaution before the batteries in my exisiting sensors start to go.... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Thanks all! I'll get it fixed when I have it in for servicing, but my excellent indie mechanic is NOT close by, so I don't just 'drop in.'

I was wondering if it could be turned off without the ID2 tool?

ID3 tags? ID2 tool? Laughing

You need a diagnostic system capable of ccf-editing. The dealer can't (as this option is not avail on the OEM IDS diagnostic system). AFAIK the only options are either a BBS Faultmate or IIDTool as Dom (mzplcg) mentioned above, or possibly an Autologic system as well - tho I am not sure on this.

I also get this occasionally. Maybe once every 30 minutes.

In the few days I've owned my S/C, this hasn't changed and I've assumed it's similar to a system check whereas the warning comes on and then goes off after a minute or so.

I may be wrong on this, so please correct me and I'll claim it under warranty. Si. <This is my name.

It is common, but it is a fault!

Mine does it in warm weather - fine for 99% of the year but a pain on the odd really hot day!

Under normal conditions the warning should not come on at all, even on start up.

I've been running my SC for three years the TMPS warning only comes on when one of the tires is too low on pressure. Haven't had any false alerts, so it sounds like you have battery issues. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
